Uniform
Uniform items are available from The Warehouse - or you can order online, click here and then search for Clutha Valley School.
The Board of Trustees has approved a regulation school uniform, the wearing of which became a school rule in January 2004. The appearance of students is expected to reflect credit on the school at all times, therefore there is an expectation that the uniform will be worn correctly and neatly. The uniform encourages greater pride in our school, ensures a sense of equality and is recognised favourably beyond the school. The school uniform is to be worn at all times unless the Principal says otherwise.
The Warehouse supplies most of the uniform items. There are also second-hand uniforms along with new culottes available at the school. Please contact the school office for more information.
All uniform items must be clearly named.

Boys' Summer Uniform
Shorts - plain navy , above the knee Polo shirt - maroon, short sleeved Sweatshirt – maroon, plain fabric Socks – plain navy or white Sandals or sneakers – brown, black, grey or navy Sunhat – maroon, wide-brimmed or bucket style |
Girls' Summer Uniform
Culottes – checked fabric Polo shirt - maroon, short sleeved Sweatshirt – maroon, plain fabric Socks – plain navy or white Sandals or sneakers – brown, black, grey or navy Sunhat – maroon, wide-brimmed or bucket style |
Boys' Winter Uniform
As above Shorts or Trackpants – navy, plain (small manufacturer’s logo may be acceptable, no stripes or large logos) Thermal – navy, plain, long or short sleeved |
Girls' Winter Uniform

Footwear
For safety and practical reasons, appropriate footwear should be worn at all times for class activities and sport. Dark coloured (black, brown, navy, grey) shoes or sandals are recommended. Sports shoes are considered appropriate.
Students are permitted to bring slippers to school to wear inside during the winter months.
Sports uniform
Sports top (issued by the school for Y5-8 students) and navy shorts. For personal health and hygiene reasons it is recommended that senior students change into their sports uniform for sport or physical education.
Jewellery/accessories
The wearing of jewellery/accessories is limited to:

Jewellery/accessories
The wearing of jewellery/accessories is limited to:
- The wearing of studs or sleepers (not more than 12mm) in the earlobes only
- Functional jewellery such as watches and medic alert bracelets
- Cultural or religious items that can be worn underneath polo tops and do not detract from the uniform (as approved by the principal)
- Hair accessories are to be plain (navy where possible)
