Clutha Valley Primary is a small rural school set in the Clydevale/Greenfield area of South Otago situated 25km from Balclutha. At present the roll stands at approximately 120. The pupils at the school range from the age of five to thirteen years (Year 0 - 8)
There are six full time teachers, a part-time teacher and four teacher aides. They are hardworking, dedicated, caring and innovative. They are a co-operative team who are all involved in the corporate life of the school.
As a small rural school there is a real sense of community amongst the students. The students benefit from the family atmosphere enabling them to learn and grow in a caring environment.
The school is fortunate to have a supportive community which helps provide the students with a range of opportunities and facilities to enhance their learning.
